Once a mainstay of tradition, discipline and conformity, the Christian church has widened its scope in order to reach more people.

Contemporary services have been added; big-screen graphics highlight the spoken word and song; praise songs have become more popular than hymns; drums have replaced organs and there is more emphasis on politics, social justice and social networking. Read story»
