Community joins in prayer for youth (Jackson, TN)

Regardless of denomination, color or class, when people come together in prayer, it’s powerful, said Mother Liberty CME Church pastor Daryll Coleman during a joint prayer service Sunday afternoon at City Hall.

The service was organized by The Mentoring Coalition, which declared Sunday as a day of prayer for the city’s youth, according to Union University’s Mary Anne Poe.

Coleman said he believes the gathering is a celebration of doing what God said people are called to do — pray.  Read story»
