[Peterborough, Ontario] City being sued over use of Lord’s Prayer

A Peterborough resident is suing the city over its use of the Lord’s Prayer at city council and committee meetings.

In an affidavit filed with the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Veronica Abbass argues that reciting the Lord’s Prayer at the beginning of council and committee meetings is unconstitutional and violates the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.  Read story»
