Mary Baker Eddy: No Stranger to Controversy – a talk by Gillian Gill

June 8, 2012

[dev.forum-network.org] presented by WGBH (Boston) and Cambridge Forum

I came across this 30 minute talk by writer, biographer, Gillian Gill.  The introduction to the talk says:

Gillian Gill examines the life story of Mary Baker, the controversial and charismatic founder of the Christian Science religion. Mary Baker Eddy (1821-1910), is the controversial and charismatic founder of the Christian Science religion. Gill describes how Eddy’s emphasis on spiritual healing and women’s empowerment made enemies from virtually the first publication of her book Science and Health in 1875.
